A teen will act as a teen
Not a child within
Or an adult without
And I have no doubt
That many a child
Would run wild
In a world
Where right is weird
And wrong is right
Then, when fiction is taken as fact
Behold the fancy of boisterous teens
As they fall in error for bounteous things:
Troubled by a narrow sight,
Mealy-mouthed and dis-eased heart;
Under the guise of socializing
Inglorious to Islam and sizing-
Sister whores, tagged as warm-hearted
While hijabis are labelled as hard-hearted
She’so tempted to taste the evil fruit
Like a strayed bird off migratory route
Scarcely covered in plumage of caution
Curious to err on the side of seduction
My note of warning to hedonist teens
Who read not Qur’an but long for things
And of morality they get nothing
Many a cinephile leave footling footprint
In discotheque mistaken for a safe haven
Qur’an to Muslimah, a foretaste of heaven:
Her boon companion takes her to bookstall
But cinephile pals go in search for fruitstall
Naively submissive to erring classmate
While teacher’s instructions meet stalemate.
Irksome iroko tree beams sinister black!
Will it sharpen the axe that chops its bark?
Being a teen she’s gets dirty and raped!
Will she aid a society that gets her doped?
